Difference between Alpaca Fibre and Wool FibreUpdated a year ago

Alpaca fibre is known for its softness, warmth, and luxurious feel. Alpaca is a semi hollow fibre; it is also lighter in weight than wool. Alpaca is a stronger fibre and hypoallergenic meaning it does not irritate the skin and has excellent moisture-wicking properties. Unlike wool it does not contain Lanolin and is approximately 30% warmer than wool.

Wool, on the other hand, can refer to fibres obtained from various animals such as sheep, goats, rabbits, and muskoxen. Wool fibres are known for their warmth, insulating properties, and durability. Wool can vary in texture and softness depending on the specific type and breed. Fine wool, such as merino wool, is prized for its softness and versatility.
